Visit Isla Mujeres, an astonishing and unique site just 11 kilometers from Cancun and very close to the Yucatan Peninsula.
The ancient Mayans visited the island to make offerings to Ixchel, goddess of the moon, fertility and love, the offerings found by the Spanish conquerors upon arrival led them to name the island Isla Mujeres (women’s island).
To visit this wonderful spot, you just need to be in Cancun and take the ferry either from the hotel zone or from Puerto Juárez, located near the city center.
During your ferry ride you can enjoy the blue hues of the Mexican Caribbean.
